Patricia Murphy, a young woman from Placentia, moved to NYC in the 1920's and eventually became a successful restaurateur making millions of dollars.  This play by Connie Newhook and Darren Ivany, tells the early story of her first forming the idea to invest her last 60 dollars - that was reserved for her return home to Newfoundland - to the opening night of a tea room in Brooklyn, NY.  Buck Jones, a reporter from the Brooklyn Eagle, takes a particular interest in Patricia's plans for success and sticks around to see how the night goes. Set and costumes will reflect 1930’s style while the live musical score will surely bring people back in time and root for “little Miss Murphy” as they see how a young Newfoundland woman in the depression years was able to succeed in business in New York City.
