The story revolves around mistaken identities and courtships, where a young man (Whelan) and his friend (Bristol) are set to arrive at the Wakeham House in Placentia. They are both tricked into thinking the Wakeham home is an inn, leading to chaotic, rude behavior from the young man toward his host, and bold flirtation with the daughter of the house, who he mistakes for a barmaid. The plot also follows his friend’s attempts to elope with his lover, complicating matters with Mrs. Wakeham's desire to keep an inheritance within the family. The play, with its eccentric characters, is full of witty dialogue, humorous situations, and is delightfully entertaining. Live music is performed to complete the entertainment. The show is catered by Harold Hotel under the management of John Kelly, and they serve a 3 course meal each evening that includes salad, dinner rolls, stuffed chicken breast with mashed potatoes and vegetables, as well as dessert and tea/coffee. A cash only bar is in the lobby.
