An encore performance of a play that captured the hearts of all who saw it during our summer season. We are excited to bring Salt Water Moon back to the stage this Christmas for those who missed it this summer, and for those who want to see Jacob and Mary one more time.
It’s a splendid moon-filled night in Coley’s Point in 1926. Eighteen-year-old Jacob Mercer has returned from Toronto to the tiny Newfoundland outport, hoping to win back his former sweetheart, Mary Snow. But Mary has become engaged to Jerome McKenzie, and she is still hurt and bewildered by Jacob’s abrupt departure a year earlier. She will not be easily wooed.
Join us at Placentia Arts Centre for this award-winning play written by David French.
NOTE: At this performance we are collecting non-perishable items for Jane's Pantry a 'leave what you can, take what you need' public pantry (located next to the Arts Centre).
