The Battle for Terre-Neuve

In 1696, the Seven Years War rages between England and France as each seeks to conquer the New World in North America. The cod filled shores of Newfoundland are a powder keg as both nations jostle for control of the strategically and economically vital island. The match is struck with the arrival in Plaisance of famed French war hero, Captain Pierre LeMoyne d’Iberville, who brings with him an extraordinary plan to vanquish the English in the New World. He must risk it all to battle the English, for the fate of Plaisance will be decided by The Battle for Terre-Neuve. This is an outdoor play performed at Castle Hill National Historic Site.
